Wellness: The Main Suite Redemption
We’re baaaaaaaaack for another season of Rock the Block! And this time, there’s only one thing on our mind: REDEMPTION.
This time around, we’re looking to add the most value to a waterfront home in Treasure Island, Florida. Without a second thought, we knew that this home needed to undergo a huge transformation and stand out from our competitors, but also cater to the Treasure Island community–and that’s how we landed on the “tropical retreat” theme.
This week’s main suite renovation is much different (and less colorful) than our “mullet” main floor/living room. Listen, there’s a time and place for vibrant colors and bold design choices (don’t worry, you know I still managed to find a way to incorporate a fun tile), but we wanted the main suite to have an overall calming, spa-like vibe, but still feel approachable and liveable. Our design leaned more into neutral, earthy tones and organic textures, with an emphasis on wellness.
We had big shoes to fill, since Leslie and I took home the win for the “main suite” challenge back on season three. And although we didn’t take home the win on this time around, (congrats Page & Mitch!) we are still so proud of this main suite design!
Our goal: to create a space that exudes and supports relaxation and wellness – a space that really embodies a spa-like experience, from the bedroom, the ensuite, and the outdoor living space.
Now, let’s talk about our main suite design and renovation… *This blog post may contain affiliate links

The Deck + Plunge Pool
The main suite is so much more than just a bedroom, and we wanted the spa-inspired interior to blend with the outdoor living space seamlessly, and that’s where the cold plunge pool came in.
We dove headfirst into the world of cold plunge therapy, thanks to the innovative collaboration between 18TH&MAIN and the talented designers at Chilly Goat–inspired by Michael Phelps—and let us tell you, it was a game-changer!
A little about 18TH&MAIN… Well, they’re not just any health and wellness brand—they’re the epitome of California cool, now making waves in Tampa, FL. With a focus on recovery for the mind, body, and soul, 18TH&MAIN is all about helping the community. Whether it’s your local teacher, first responder, or pro athlete, they’ve made limitless recovery accessible to the entire community so they can feel their best, both inside and out.
So, what exactly is a cold plunge, and what are the benefits? It’s basically like hitting the reset button for your entire being! Picture this: you step into a refreshing pool of icy water, and instantly, your senses awaken, your muscles rejuvenate, and your mind clears.
