Unsellable Houses Season 2, Episode 1
We can’t believe it! We’re so excited that Unsellable Houses Season 2 is officially out! Episode 1 premiered on HGTV on Tuesday, and we can’t wait to share the rest of shows over the coming months!
But first let’s go behind the scenes on “Keeping Character”!
This house shows a lot of what older Snohomish homes have to offer—charm, craftsmanship, and a sense of history. But after several owners and several attempted updates, it definitely needed some love!
Here’s how we gave this charming home new life…
Colors, Patterns, & Texture Inspos
We leaned into neutral yellows and greens throughout the home, with splashes of geometric tiles and board and batten for texture.
Key Updates
- Fresh paint on the exterior
- Tile, cabinetry, and appliance upgrades in the kitchen
- Corner seat installation in the breakfast nook
- Dream staging throughout!
DIY Project: Painted Floors
This 1940s built home had all the hallmarks of great craftsman-style design, and we wanted to honor that while also adding a contemporary twist. So, we took the wood floors we found and painted them gray!
Painting wood floors is a great way to change the feel of a space without having to start from scratch. We did this in our own Lamb & Co. Storefront! When done well, painting floors is just as durable as traditional wood floors.
We love it!
